We have been so lucky to meet wonderful people like Lucero who breath life & collaboration into the wedding industry. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people I've been able to work with from DFW at SCR. No only does she take stunning photos but our brides love to tell me about her personal touch & attention to their desires.
Here's a little more on Lucero + check out her facebook page & Insta for all her updates!
Hi, my name is Lucero and I’m the owner of Lucero Cervantes Photography, located in the DFW area.
A few facts about me:
· As a wedding photographer, an element of my job that I can add is to make sure the Bride and Groom have an enjoyable day and to do that I must develop a relationship with them. This lets them know that I will help them capture their special day. It also gives them reassurance that I can help them with the pace of the day so it is worry free. I love getting to know my couples.
· My style is influenced by photojournalism. I try to use as much of the natural light as possible so the photos convey the beauty of the moment and what it was like when one was there. The bride and groom go through a lot planning their wedding together and I try to preserve as much as I can about that day. The photos is likely one of the only things they have to use to look back on the day and remember all the details that went into it, so I like to get as much detail as I can, even to go as far as capturing the wedding invitation if I can.
· My favorite part of the wedding to photograph is the moment the Groom sees the Bride walking down the aisle. I love the authentic emotion that can be displayed by the groom at that moment. Sometimes a groom is holding back their emotions because they are nervous and focused on doing everything right but they let go of all that when they see their bride and they can be overcome with joy. It's truly a beautiful moment when this happens.
· I love weddings sessions but outside weddings have a very special part in my heart!! Yes, the Texas heat can be hard to deal with sometimes but there is nothing like using the natural lighting to bring out the beauty of the wedding. Also, this allows me to avoid using flash which is less distracting for the wedding party. I have had the opportunity to photograph at some very rustic venues with large barns that really bring together a good Texas style wedding especially when the timing is right and we have a golden sunset.
With that said, Sparrow Creek Ranch is one of my favorite wedding venues in the area because of the perfect Texas style and the amazing golden sunsets we can capture during bridals or a wedding ceremony with the gorgeous forested landscape. I remember my first wedding shoot there in Spring 2017, for Armando and Reagan! I can honestly say that it was one of my favorite weddings from last year because it was a couple that started as high school sweethearts and they were together for over 8 years. Their families were amazing and their wedding reflected their culture so well. It was romantic yet rustic and elegant. We created some amazing sunset shots together and they were both absolutely gorgeous couple to capture.
Thank you Lucero for sharing a little of your story & passion with us! We can't wait to have you back out at SCR this fall!
