Sophisticated Ranch Wedding - cozy and elegant all the same time at Sparrow Creek Ranch
Gracie and Mason had THE DREAMIEST wedding full of sophistical we can’t get enough of! Yes, yes yes! Ranch Weddings in Texas can be fancy and here’s how! But the most special part of this wedding was the all-guest moment to pray over the bride and groom. We are with you in this and we’re praying for our couples who come through SCR’s door on day one of tours. And all the way through engagement and then wedding day and beyond. Seeing guests all stand up and purposefully lay hands on couples is the greatest joy when seeing a gallery. What a wonderful moment to include in a ceremony — and not just a pray, but a physical, stand still moment like this.
Why did you choose Sparrow Creek Ranch as your wedding venue?
We chose SCR because as soon as we got to the venue and waked around, we new it was ours! SCR had so many options that both my fiance and I both loved when it came to decor and ceremony location. Not only the various ceremony spots but the uniqueness of the venue itself. SCR is a very sweet mix of industrial and rustic. It is very homey yet elegant, exactly what we were looking for.
How do describe the vibe?!
The theme of our wedding is modern elegance. Our wedding colors are black, white, gold, Hunter green, and shades of brown. Our attire is black tie!
Advice for other people planning elegant ranch weddings?
Our best advice for future couples is to utilize all the amenities SCR has to offer! SCR has an amazing array of ceremony locations onsite, and an abundance of gorgeous decor to use for your big day. Creekside Patio Ceremony at SCR
Gracie was stunning coming down the aisle on the Creekside Patio! This is our intimate outdoor ceremony space surrounded by trees encircling guests giving it a unique fairytale “in the trees” feel. The floor half arches at the start of the aisle were also a stunning addition making the entrance so pretty and since you are going to get photos of the bride coming down the aisle this is a great reminder what’s behind her needs to be stunning!

DID YOU HAVE ANY HESITATION ON SCR?!
Honestly there really wasn’t any hesitation or obstacles when choosing SCR. SCR was beautiful from the beginning, maintained so well, you and your family were so hospitable and had an abundance of resources to help with the wedding planning process and the pricing was great! In my opinion there really is no other way besides the “SCR way”.
How They Met!
From Mason's POV - Gracie was one of my father's students in high school for JROTC. She went to college out of state breifly and when she came to school locally she had added me on social media because she recognized the last name resemblence. After talking online for several days I invited her to my church college ministry to help get her plugged in with my community. She left very quickly after service but I pursued. I forced my way into studying with her at a coffee shop for our first "date" because she was too anxious to ask me. We ended spending the entire day having fun together and it was downhill from there.
From Gracie's POV: On New years Eve right before midnight on 2023 Mason said to me "We're going to get married next year" I had a gut feeling but I denied it. Fastforward to late April 2024, Mason had asked me if I wanted to go on a dressier date to celebrate the end of finalss week for both of us because we were both struggling with our work loads. I had no inclination of his alterior motives. That was until he told me exactly what to wear. Although I was suspicous I convinced myself otherwise. Mason had told me to meet him at the church building where the college ministry meets (the place where we first met) because he had a band rehersal that night. I show up and as soon as I walk in there are rose petals on the ground leading to the door of the worship center. When I open the door I see Mason standing in the exact spot where he first saw me. The room had pipe and drape evrywhere and it was dimly lit with edison bulbs scattered around the room. After Mason had asked me to marry him all of our closest family and friends walked out from behind the pipe and drape! We celebrated with a pizza bar and custom M&M's with our faces and engagment date on them.
