SCR’s LOG CABIN

SCR is also home to a one-of-a-kind log cabin that is a work of architectural wonder in its own right built from timbers trucked down from British Columbia. The cabin has one of the best views in North Texas, overlooking the Brazos River tributary and one of the last remaining oil rigs from the 1920s. The view out these giant windows is breath taking.

Our friends and family had a lovely weekend staying there for my niece’s wedding that took place at Sparrow Creek Ranch which is located very near the property. The easy access to the venue was perfect and the house was amazing. We all agreed we would be interested in staying at this lovely log home even when we did not have an event at the venue next door. The craftsmanship of the house is amazing and the decor is well done. All bedding was fresh and clean. A large variety of dishes, spices, and condiments were available to us which saved us time and money.

"It was a perfect place to stay. The biggest hit was the deck on the back with the fire pit. My boys really enjoyed that to kick back and relax the night before the wedding at Sparrow Creek, which was less than a mile away, and Karan could not have been a better hostess.
