Western Wedding - All Turquoise and Love

Makayla and Caden’s December wedding at Sparrow Creek Ranch was the epitome of a Western wedding 100% Texas style! Blending the SCR's iconic glam with the cozy charm of December made for a perfect weekend! SCR’s expansive landscape provided a dramatic and authentically Texan backdrop for their "I dos." As the winter sun dipped low over the Palo Pinto mountains, guests gathered in the beautifully decorated space, which was warmed by the glow of string lights and the joyful energy of the couple’s family and friends. The atmosphere was a perfect mix of hearty ranch tradition and intimate winter romance, making it a day that truly honored their shared love for the Western way of life.

WESTERN WEDDING DETAILS — TURQUOISE OF COURSE

It’s fun to see Kyann Kendall Photography use the bride's turquoise jewelry to add that spice of Western flair to the detail photos, but then see it all come together in the gallery that helps everyone remember the day in better detail!

We loved having our wedding at SCR, Kalli and her team were amazing from day one. Our guests also loved the venue and had an amazing time at the wedding. Wedding planning takes a lot and is stressful, but Kalli had an amazing recommended list that helped take a major burden off of me for planning our wedding and choosing our vendors. We had the full weekend package and it was worth it! It was so nice being able to come in and take our time decorating/ setting everything up just the way we wanted. Another major bonus we loved about SCR was the access to all the decorations. It was so nice not having to spend unnecessary money on decorations when they had everything we needed. Kalli has really thought everything through and we just enjoyed our weekend having our wedding here!

WESTERN BRIDALS

Makayla was stunning in her full-on Western bridal style! She donned a gorgeous gown with intricate lace that matched the ranch theme, complemented by a flowing veil that added a dreamy, striking element to her photos. To enhance the Western vibe, she accessorized with bright turquoise jewelry, which contrasted beautifully with her white lace. We love our Western Brides!

Makayla also played with her bridal session by bringing a favorite hat for her bridal portrait session; this allowed her to capture those iconic images (you know, these are getting printed for the house!) without having to wear a hat for the entire ceremony and reception! Plus throw in a cowhide rug at the bridal to make it all feel authentic but a bit more detailed! We always recommend bringing a few special pieces to the bridal session to make it more fun, get those creative ideas flowing, and overall just make the most of our one-on-one time with your photographer!

CEREMONY & GROOMSMEN

Caden and his groomsmen were equally well-suited for the occasion, wearing their sharp cowboy tuxes of pressed dark jeans, blazers, and cowboy hats! These photos are from the SCR Log Cabin — the perfect place for the guys to be close (just one gate over from SCR) but have their own space to spread out and have fun on the big day!
