Colorful Summer Wedding at Sparrow Creek Ranch | Bright and Airy North Texas Wedding
Beau and Makenzie's wedding day was the picture-perfect definition of a colorful summer wedding. The bride wore a light and airy gown with the sweetest details that gave off a garden-theme wedding look, matched with her bright and playful florals throughout the wedding. The bride and groom were so lovely and madly in love. They chose Sparrow Creek Ranch as their North Texas wedding venue, for its beautiful scenery, and the ceremony space, called the Creekside Patio that, is fully shaded, giving them the perfect summer outdoor ceremony options for their guests to be shaded but surrounded by nature and the tall oak trees.
CEREMONY - CREEKSIDE PATIO FOR CAFE LIGHTS AND GREENERY
The ceremony was held on the Creekside Patio at 6 pm and decorated with lush greenery and colorful flowers from SCR’s beloved and long-time Recommended Vendor - Joys Flowers Graham. The bride and groom exchanged vows in front of SCR’s custom-made metal cross with a sweet floral bust at the center, and the aisle was beautiful with the big barrel arrangements on top of SCR’s vintage oil barrels — a unique and one-of-a-kind wedding detail! SCR has an extensive collection of vintage decor our couples love to use throughout their day, all free to our couples.
BRIDAL LOFT — ONCE THE IT’S TIME FOR THE DRESS…
SCR has a very unique space called The Loft. The bridal loft is not our bridal suite. Yep, you heard us… we have a bridal suite downstairs where our brides can go all out on hair and makeup, and their bridal party can spend the first few hours of the day getting ready. BUT once hair and makeup is finished, and the bride is ready to put on the dress, it’s time to move out of the clutter of cups, hair and makeup gear, bags, and all the other “stuff” and head to the Bridal Loft that is clean and a breath of fresh air. Yes—our brides specifically have a space to enjoy that is separate and clean (ideally ;) from clutter to spend the last bit of the day waiting on the ceremony in peace.
Our couples who book SCR within 24 hours of their Tour are gifted the Loft!
Otherwise, our couples can always add it on later down the road. Everyone who adds this space is overjoyed with it and the “aw ha” moment of having a peaceful retreat on the wedding day!

SUMMER WEDDING DETAILS
The Creekside Patio has an undeniable Tuscan vibe with the low-hanging trees and green forest surrounding the circular patio. Overhead the bistro lights give off that perfect casual-chic setting for an outdoor wedding under the string lights everyone dreams of. The perfect match to this dreamy setting is our black Bistro Chiars that add one more design element to play off the cafe lights and trees. This combination is a stunning outdoor ceremony aesthetic we adore, as do our couples. The bistro chairs are an add-on, our packages all include white folding garden chairs, but these black bistro chairs are a special add-on option for that extra pop of perfection!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio to mingle and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The newly built outdoor bar at the Creekside Patio makes cocktail hour here after the ceremony perfect and seamless. Plus, the bar is a huge attraction, made of impressively large railroad lumber and bride gutters to fit SCR’s industrial glam aesthetic.

White, the guests enjoyed a few cool drinks on the patio; the couple stepped away for stunning portraits that Kenzie, Galyean Photo + Film are famous for at SCR! They are truly spectacular in every way, making us love their portrait style even more each time!
